Stoned? Drunk? Or Just A Really Bad Driver?

With 2 available parking spaces
directly across the street!

Is parking on the wrong side of the street and facing the wrong direction a universal problem, or is it just a Hudson thing?  Why is it so common in town?

(No one was in the car when picture was taken)

There is no way that the driver of this vehicle was not aware they parked on the wrong side of the street.  There's no way they weren't aware that Columbia Street is a two way street.  What on earth, if anything, was going through this person's head yesterday afternoon when they crossed over the opposite traffic lane and parked their car on the opposite side?

Does Hudson just attract bad drivers or do we somehow encourage dumb and dangerous driving?
