Got Litter?

Climate change brings more storms to our planet, including more wind, like today.   Today's gusts worked a number on many garbage cans in our alleys, on our sidewalks and elsewhere, just as the many recent gusty days have been doing.  Recycling bins, and their contents, don't fare very well, either.

As if we need another effect of climate change, I think it's true:  As more carbon is pumped into the atmosphere, there is more litter in Hudson's streets, alleys, yards, sewers, streams, the Hudson river and wherever else it can be blown.

City garbage bags put out, ONCE AGAIN,
5 or 6 days before scheduled DPW pick up in
front of 350 Columbia, a Galvan property.

One bag was blown a few houses east after
being blown into the street, then
another was blown into the street, ready to
be run over.
