Have DPW and National Grid Given Hudson Its First Bicycle Lane?

Go ahead and laugh!

If you ride a bicycle on the Green Street truck route headed into town, you will be safest riding on the new lumpy, gravel-filled, pockmarked and wavy strip of asphalt that is as close to a bicycle lane as Hudson may ever have.  Sadly, according to DPW Superintendent Robert Perry, it's only temporary.

Ride to the left of the fake bicycle lane and 18 massive wheels might just run you over in an instant, especially at the bend.  Ride to the right of it -- if there's room for you -- and you will likely hit a curb and find yourself flat on your back on the sidewalk. Or in the hospital. Or in the morgue.
