Part-Time Code Enforcement Just Ain't Cuttin' It Anymore!

According to the City of Hudson's website, the Code Enforcement Office is open to the public Monday-Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm.  However, when head Code Enforcement Officer Craig Haigh is on vacation or otherwise out of the office for a day or more, his department is open for just 4 hours.  This will be the case for the next 5 days.

As I understand things, Craig is the only full-time employee at the Code Enforcement Office.  Craig has a part-time clerk, a part-time enforcement officer and two vehicles for his department.  Last I checked, the CEO's annual budget is just over $200,000, about one fourth of which goes to Craig's salary.

538 State, where the code does not apply.

This is the norm EVERY YEAR for
at least the past 5 years at 538 State Street!
Weeds and grass up to six feet high!
Six feet!  Full-time, not part-time!

The disgrace known as 538 State is merely a reflection of City
Hall's lack of desire and ability to create a respectable city.
