First The Bullets...

... now a car!

The wall of the Maker's cafe was struck this morning by an out-of-control vehicle that either ran the red light at 3rd & Warren (more likely) or was forced off the road by someone who ran a red light there.  This guy (and it was a male driver) must have been driving pretty fast to get hit, then make it over the curb and up on the sidewalk before being forced to stop by the wall.

I'd like to make a prediction, something I was thinking about last night.  Sometime in the next 6 months there will be a bad accident one block away, at 3rd & Columbia, involving at least one tractor trailer or other large truck.  That turn in the truck route is an accident waiting to happen, but somehow there hasn't been one yet -- not a bad one, at least.  I wouldn't be surprised if it's a truck that topples over while making the turn from 3rd onto Columbia.
