More On Last Year's Expensive Mudslide!

One expensive new hill!

In the future, Hudseen will likely offer a comprehensive dive into how much money DPW Superintendent Robert Perry cost the city with his wonderful idea to allow all sorts of unregulated dirt and debris to be dumped into the Washington Street lot in 2022.  For now, though, let's take a look at how much Colarusso charged the city for pipe work, excavation and grading of the area over the course of 5 days in mid-December which may have been the end of work at the site.

Colarusso's bill to DPW

TOTAL:  Over $30,600 to help clean up Robert Perry's mess and make the area and the pipe acceptable to DEC.  And until DEC inspects the area, it's difficult to know if the city is in compliance and the work is finally done.

After doing extensive work at the site themselves last year on two occasions, DPW also had to hire an engineering consulting firm and purchase 80 feet of pipe and related equipment.  If and when the amounts paid for those expenditures come my way, Hudseen will be sure to publish them to offer a grand total for the very costly mistake from our DPW Superintendent.  (Perry would no doubt deny that he erred in any way.)
