We Reap What DPW Sows

Late this morning, it was clear to me that someone from the DPW Water Department (aka, the Department of Public Works Water Department) had been on State Street earlier maintaining fire hydrants with a weed whacker.  The dead giveaway was all the grass, weeds and dirt they left on the sidewalk and in the street, opting not to tidy up after themselves.  There probably wasn't a broom and bucket available in the truck even if the worker had wanted any tools to clean up his mess in the sidewalk and street.
Thanks for the mess, DPW!

This is no surprise to me for two reasons.  First, I witnessed the same thing last year at the fire hydrant on State Street closest to 6th Street.  Second, Rob The Slob Perry is still the person in charge of that department within a department that maintains the fire hydrants that he is okay with covering in plastic bags when they are no longer useful to anyone or any fires.

Thanks for ignoring the hole in the middle
of the pocket park for years, Mr. Perry!
When you understand how little Robert Perry regards our sidewalks and other public walking areas, it should come as no surprise how often dog owners leave their dog's shit on our sidewalks. Weeds, tripping hazards, snow and ice, dog shit: Whatever! It's all good to our $117,000 DPW Superintendent!  Think he gives a shit?

Thanks for the mess, DPW!  Thanks for
the mess, responsible dog owner!
