Which is to say, count on that busy-with-pedestrians "sidewalk" to remain untouched and to continue to easily put a few of us IMMEDIATLEY, AWKWARDLY and UNCOMFORTABLY on the rough concrete, possibly face first, and then off to the hospital or the morgue. If the sidewalk is not replaced now, I guarantee that it will be in much worse condition -- and more dangerous -- when work on the property is completed. Considering all the earthmoving (and shaking) going on there, in addition to all the heavy machinery and trucks full of debris rolling over and parked on the "sidewalk," that public right of way is really taking a beating. It sure ain't gettin' any better on its own!

Could this be our only opportunity to have a safe and respectable sidewalk in front of LUCKY's???!!! Or will the Public Works Board possibly see that it gets done ten or fifteen years from now? |

Yesterday, as the excavator was plunging into and removing asphalt, I could feel the sidewalk tremble, no doubt further damaging the already well-damaged sidewalk. |
