Hudson City Hall, Where The Communications Experts Can Be Found. (You're Really Killin' It, Kamal!)

In case you haven't opened your most recent water bill from DPW (or you don't have water bills sent to you), the lead picture shows the front page of a two-sided letter to all property owners that came with this quarter's bill.  It's really difficult to know who was behind this insulting letter, but I'm thinking Kamal Johnson must have been involved in some way.

It may be difficult to believe after reading both pages (if you don't rip it up first), but the letter was meant to introduce residents to the Sidewalk Improvement District (SID) project, possibly the city's most ambitious infrastructure project ever (outside of the Urban Renewal of 50 years ago).  After 8 mentions of "SID" on the first page (8!), it's not until the top of the second page that the letter finally explains what SID stands for!  Yes, this so-called letter is the first bit of information that the city has sent out to residents regarding this project!  Even still, nowhere in the letter is there an explanation of what the Sidewalk Improvement District (not exactly a self-explanatory term) is intended to do for the residents of Hudson.  What a shitshow disrespectful bush league unprofessional letter of a failed attempt at explanation to the tax paying residents of Hudson!  It's beyond insulting, and you have to wonder what channels this thing went through to make its way into hundreds of envelopes.

Such a professional and effective salutation!
Who wouldn't want to read this letter?

Page two of a letter that offers far too much
information, much of it confusing.  Who exactly
sent this out without bothering to sign it or identify
themself?  Were they too ashamed of the letter
to actually sign it?

Who found the final sentence to be acceptable?  Kamal?
What department (or City Hall) doesn't sign a letter sent
to residents?  Honestly, WTF?

Then there is this plastic lawn-type sign which recently appeared on South 3rd Street trying to catch the attention of drivers entering town, possibly thanks to the questionably useful Housing Department.

Quick, slam on the brakes, find your phone (if you aren't holding it already) and take a picture of the scan code on the important-looking roadside sign put there by someone at City Hall!   Or pull over and park along the yellow curb, get out of your car, walk up to the sign and read it before scanning it with your phone. Walk back to your car and flip the bird to all the drivers in the cars and trucks honking at you as they wait for you to move out of their fucking way! City Hall demands that you do this!  Now!  Pay attention, dummy, it's Fair Housing Month here in Hudson!  Get with the program!

How many of these signs did the residents of Hudson pay
to have printed and spread around town?  And how are any
drivers expected to scan this one, let alone read it?
Should the city be encouraging drivers to try to read it
as they drive by?  Or was it meant for just the
12 pedestrians who pass by it every day?

Is Hudson possibly the most mismanaged and dysfunctional municipality in all of New York State?
Late last week, soon after the City Hall trash bag
vending machine "sign" had been removed.  This is Rob
The Slob Perry's work, no doubt.
