Inappropriate? Code Violation? Disrespectful? Ugly? Loud? Easily Enforced? Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes and Absolutely Yes!

According to the city code which Craig Haigh
enforces, this sign and the other require a sign permit.

The unsecured sign slams into the light in the constant wind,
able to be heard at least 200 feet away.  Night and
fucking day for the past 5 weeks!
This is rude AND a clear code violation!  (see below)

There is no specific mention of real estate signs (for sale, for rent, etc) in the city code, but these particular signs, some of which can be quite ugly and stick around for far too long, should have a section in the code devoted just for them.  And -- duh! -- the rules which that section states should be enforced at all times!  Not never or just some of the time.  All the time!

Do you think for one second that the owner of
this building approached Code Enforcement to
purchase a sign permit or two for their two FOR SALE
signs before they hung them on February 26th?

For how long is a temporary FOR SALE sign
projecting from the wall of a building allowed
to remain?  For how long is a sign with multiple
clear violations of our city code allowed to be
ignored by Code Enforcement?  Do you think Kamal
Johnson gives a crap about any of this?  D
o you
 suppose that
a decent city manager would care?
