Is It Still The Thanksgiving Holiday At Code Enforcement?

Yesterday, via email, I tried my best to make our Code Enforcement Office aware of a recurring code violation in my neighborhood.  Here is the automatic reply I got from head honcho Craig Haigh:

When I walked into the Code Enforcement Office on Washington Street this morning, I was greeted by a person sitting at a desk in the main office where rolled blueprints were piled all over the place, including on the floor.  "What do you want?  Nobody is here," the friendly fellow barked at me without getting out of his chair.
"You're not here?" I asked.
"I'm the clerk. What do you expect me to do?" he replied.
Apparently, Craig Haigh was not in the office.  CEO Clerk Peter Merante was, though.  Mr. Nobody.
In case you missed it, here is a HUDseen article from August of last year showing how unavailable and unprofessional our Code Enforcement Office can be:  CEO MIA
