The question is, would Superintendent Slob Perry allow this in front of his house on Prospect Avenue for even one day?
Below is a picture of DPW workers, including the foreman in the foreground, wrapping up their excavation and pipe repair work on the truck route near TSL on or near the 27th of March, about 6 weeks ago. For some reason, instead of patching their wide and long hole with asphalt (yes, the asphalt plant was open and available then), they used something resembling concrete that quickly began to deteriorate into gravel. The surface has essentially fallen off. Look at all the dust each truck kicks up!
How much did that failed patch job cost us and how much in damage is it doing to every vehicle that hits it? How much damage is the noise doing to the neighbors in terms of anxiety? How much damage does the shaking of the ground cause the nearby asphalt and the pipes below when trucks, especially the enormous 18 or 20 wheelers, hit the lip of that shit patch job, a lip that is getting deeper by the day? Do you think Slob Perry or Kamal Johnson gives a crap about any of this?
People of Hudson -- In case you don't know, this is not normal! This is not the way things are done elsewhere! And it shouldn't be acceptable to whoever is in charge of things at 520 Warren, if there is anyone in charge! This city cannot survive for much longer with this kind of horrible approach to our infrastructure and obscene wasting of money.
If you can, watch the YouTube video of the informal council meeting from earlier this week. Listen to Mr. Perry at the beginning of his DPW report. When I first heard it, my thought was that he was drunk. It's really creepy, and I think Tom Depietro even thought there was something wrong with Rob.
