Where is the law enforcement to prevent this obvious and conspicuous "illegal" activity? Why, of course, it's found only on HPD's FAKEBOOK page! |
Our code is clear: no more than two signs are allowed within 100 feet of the business being advertised! Securing anything to city property, including streetlight poles, is also a code violation. |
HPD Captain David Miller was made aware of this 2 months ago. |
Chained to the pole all the time for at least the past year. Signs no, bicycles yes! |
This fucking sign has been chained to the tree grate for years! Is that what the grate is there for? It's so respectful of the tree and pedestrians! (What would Rich Volo say?) The business isn't anywhere near the sign and it's possibly not even a brick-and-mortar store. Is it even located in Hudson? |
HPD probably drives by this code violation they are supposedly so concerned about at least twenty times every day. |
1 sign, 3 code violations. Secured to a traffic sign (two, actually), more than 100 feet from the business, and confusing to drivers. Craig Haigh was made aware of this early last year. The business also has a second sign across the street secured to Galvan's wood fence.

Posters covering city property. One assumes those vents are there for a reason, but posters will often be covering them. Whatever! |
Important city property or a public kiosk? |
Is one of the reasons HPD supposedly does not want posters on poles because posters often become litter, possibly making their way into our precious and ancient sewer system? Is Rob Perry glad that HPD and CEO are not enforcing the POSTERS ON POLES law? |
When unregulated, signs and posters easily create clutter and litter, also known as visual pollution! Clutter, both indoors and outdoors, creates anxiety and stress for the human brain whether we feel it or not. Apparently, as HPD's Fakebook post suggests, Chief Franklin is aware of this. |
