Some Things Never Change For The Better Around Here!

Two winters ago, on February 3, 2024, HUDseen published a short article titled 5 DAYS AFTER JUST 2 INCHES FELL!  Portions of two of the three pictures featured in that article are shown above, showing the southeast corner of the intersection of 6th & Long Alley.

This morning, nearly two years after those pictures were taken, I took another picture at that same corner before I was forced to walk in the street.  Today marks the 4th DAY AFTER WELL OVER ONE FOOT OF SNOW FELL ON HUDSON, including North 6th Street!

The article from 2024 garnered two comments from one or two people who did not want to reveal their name:  "GO JUMP IN THE RIVER..." and "GET A LIFE!"  (I ignored both!)

I took the following picture yesterday at 6th & Long Alley looking north moments before I was forced to walk in the street at an intersection with vehicle traffic on an already narrow one way street made narrower by snow still piled high 4 or 5 feet from the curb on the even side.  I'm thankful I'm not disabled, elderly (yet) or responsible for children.

Who at City Hall is tasked with not allowing a blatant code violation such as this but is doing nothing to prevent it from recurring year after year after year after practically every snowfall?
