My Suggestion:

Steer clear of the 7th Street Park this year.

No one at City Hall, particularly HPD, seems to care what goes on in the park, and I'm thinking that things there are going to get truly ugly and more unwelcoming than usual this year, even if Michael Madison fails to reappear.  More unwelcoming for some, that is, though I hope I'm wrong.

The belongings on the bench in the picture were there for at least 36 hours before I called HPD about them this morning.  A few hours later, I noticed they were gone.

If you see activity, or the results of activity, in the park that concerns, disturbs or angers you, call both Mayor Ferris and Police Chief Franklin right away and, at the very least, leave them a message to call you back.  If you see something, say something.  It's our park; it should always be welcoming, clean and safe.  Always!
