It's going to be difficult for grass to grow between all the gravel (not that anyone at City Hall cares). But at least we got a lovely new sidewalk.... surrounded by gravel on both sides! (Hey, DPW Superintendent Perry, how much of that gravel will eventually make its way into your precious sewer system? Hey, ADA Coordinator Martin, how much gravel is acceptable on our streets, sidewalks, curb ramps and ADA curb safety mats?)

| Another tree in the way of progress. To make way for a vacant lot covered in gravel! |
Shouldn't there be some sort of commemorative plaque erected in the middle of Galvan's vacant lot where the three houses once stood, as a reminder/warning of how a developer can destroy a neighborhood or entire small city if the mayor is in their pocket and at their beck and call?
LET IT BE KNOWN FOR ALL FUTURE HUDSONIANS THAT THANKS TO MAYOR KAMAL JOHNSON (2020-2025) AND HIS ASSOCIATES AT THE GALVAN GANG, THERE ARE NO HOUSES, RESIDENTS, FAMILIES, CHILDREN, TREES OR BIRDS HERE AS THERE ONCE WERE. THERE IS NOTHING.
Unfortunately, the city can't afford such a plaque. That mayor left us with a financial mess, too.
If you haven't yet walked the new sidewalk across from Galvan's Depot Lofts and alongside their latest gift to us in the form of a vacant lot, I suggest you do so if only to admire each end of it (as well as the vacant lot). You just might laugh. That is, if you don't fall on your face first.
