The Next "Notice" May Not Be So "Polite"!

As far as I'm aware, the most recent public mention of creating a pair of residential parking permit systems -- one surrounding the Pocketbook business complex and one on Warren Street -- sounded something like this:  "We kind of dropped the ball on that."  (Which is to say, nothing!)  That update came in March or April from 1st ward council member and SAFETY Committee chair Henry Haddad after he was asked about the residential parking permits, and there have been no discussions about the idea since, not publicly at least.

By the way, the first of the mayor's latest round of so-called "community town halls" takes place tonight at 6:30 in the library (4th ward).  I was thinking about attending, except I just realized that tonight's Common Council's informal meeting begins a half hour before the mayor's power point presentation.

I will say what needs to be said:   This is just dumb on the mayor's part.  Truly dumb, inexcusable and disrespectful!  I get the sense that he is in over his head.  Or did his aide schedule this "town hall" that conflicts with the council's monthly informal meeting? We all deserve so much better!
