Coming Soon to A Town or City Near You!

The coincidence of the never-ending shenanigans and embarrassing dysfunction going on in the adjacent town that we here in Hudson happen to share a zip code with is not lost on HUDseen. Here is that latest Register-Star headline about the mess that continues to unfold at our sister (unwanted brother?) city:  GREENPORT BOARD MEMBER RESIGNS, CRITICIZES BOARD DYSFUNCTION.

It should be noted that the board member who resigned was not James Dolan. Some readers may not be aware that Dolan served as Hudson's Police Chief from 1986 to 1991, though his tenure ended abruptly in disgrace when he was arrested and eventually found guilty of two felonies, including bribery to hinder undercover drug investigations, and other crimes related to his activities at HPD.  Dolan's nickname at the time (perhaps after his arrest?) was FINGERS.  As in Fingers Dolan.

It never ends around here!

Shouldn't the guy on the left be a member of the Greenport Town Board instead of the Hudson Common Council?  What is he doing in Hudson City Hall being no help at all while supposedly representing the second ward if he lives with his wife and child(ren) on Green Acres Road in Greenport in a one-family ranch he has co-owned with his wife since 2016?  At 7 pm this past Sunday, I saw Dewan Sarowar's car parked in the driveway of 46 Green Acres Road, right where it can regularly be found parked and where anyone should expect it to be parked overnight.  You will never find Sarowar's car parked in front of the house he claims to live in in the first block of Columbia Street, that's for sure.  Never, as in never ever.  Not that Margaret Morris cares about any of this...

12534, where dysfunction and nonsense are rampant and never-ending.  Where we all deserve so much better.  Where, I'm thinking, the water has got to be tainted.
