And this tractor trailer didn't even turn onto Park Place! Had it turned, the trailer most certainly would have scraped up against the sign, possibly knocking it over. AGAIN! For a THIRD TIME!
Amid the long and difficult process of trying to come up with an acceptable 2027 budget that won't raise taxes too much, the mayor's third "permanent" stop sign at Warren & Park Place was installed a few days ago in the exact same place where the first two "permanent" stop signs had been knocked over in the course of two months -- in the street, 8 feet from curb! The words idiocy and incompetence come to mind, don't they?
mayor Ferris' first stop sign appeared on or near August 18th, with its replacement appearing on October 13th. That stop sign, number two, lasted all of a few days. The stop sign you see in the pictures is effort number three (it appears to be the same sign, just a little worn from being stuck by a truck and hitting the pavement), soon to be replaced by number four.
If at first you don't succeed, continue over and over to waste time and get paid for it, waste taxpayer revenue that is in short supply, and waste traffic signs that cost money! And smile and act as if everything is just swell!
