What is essentially a wooden utility pole is used to display the American flag in front of the Hudson Police Department and City Court building at 701 Union Street. Is Police Chief Mishanda Franklin proud of this? Was Ed Moore proud of the National Grid utility flagpole look, too? Was the pole installed with the flag in mind, or did it just happen to be there in 2017 when HPD and the City Court moved in, bringing their American flag with them from Warren Street?
It's not flag desecration, but it's pretty close, isn't it?

| That's a double pole (or double wood) on the right! Have you ever seen such an ugly, disrespectful, unpatriotic, cluttered sight involving an American flag? |
There is nothing at the entrance to 701 Union or on the front of the building indicating that the Parking Bureau is located inside the building. There isn't even a sign on one of the doors. 701 Union is where the PUBLIC must go -- typically by vehicle -- to pay a parking ticket or ask a question about one. The welcoming aura is everywhere at 701 Union, right down to the soda and candy vending machines that immediately greet you inside the front doors.
