Beware of chasm on Columbia Street sidewalk |
HUDseen is a mostly pictorial blog dedicated to exposing all things dangerous, ugly, hypocritical, and inexplicable in Hudson, NY that go unseen or ignored by Hudson City Hall. As well as other random, curious, concerning, and interesting things seen and tripped over in Hudson.

Calling this merely a tripping hazard is an insult to cracks in the sidewalk. It is a chasm! Covering the width of the sidewalk, with 30 inches between concrete "landings," the black asphalt is as much as 3 inches below the concrete sidewalk. It is certainly a code violation and one of our city's worst sidewalk hazards, if not the worst. The property which this sidewalk abuts is 25 N. 5th Street, jointly owned by Galvan Asset Management, Inc. and Hudson Homesteads, LP.
