This Occurs Far Too Frequently in Our Tiny City, Particularly On 5th Street

DPW, HPD, the Mayor's Office and the Police Commissioner (who "doesn't work for the police department") are not doing enough to prevent wrong way drivers.  I guess they all look at it as part of the inescapable reality of having one-way streets.  It's not really a problem to anyone at City Hall, and nothing else can be done besides sticking with the existing small, often poorly located (or obscured), black and white ONE WAY signs.

It is well past the time for large white arrows painted at each end of every block of all of our one-way streets, as well as at intersections with alleys where the majority of wrong turns are made.  WRONG WAY DO NOT ENTER signs hanging above intersections for wrong way drivers would be a smart idea as well, and worth the investment.  One of them might save someone's life and keep the city from being successfully sued for a ton of money.

Do I even need to stop before I turn left?  (Prison Alley
approaching North 5th from the west).  Why aren't there
any stop lines or stop signs at our alley intersections?

Today's wrong way driver on 5th Street turned off of Prison Alley, obviously having not seen the single (double-sided) ONE WAY sign there, approached a red light at the intersection with a truck to his side directed the wrong way (confirmation that everything was fine!), paused at the intersection to see if the coast was clear to the left and then made a right turn onto the truck route without incident.  As the car passed within feet of me on Columbia, the driver appeared to still have no idea what he had just done.  That might be the scariest thing of all.  Someone who mistakenly approaches or PROCEEDS THROUGH an intersection the wrong way, whether there is a traffic light, stop signs or nothing there, must be made aware of the situation they are about to be in or already are in.  Only in Hudson is this not done.  Because, apparently, drivers driving the wrong way and proceeding through intersections the wrong way are not a problem for Rob The Slob Perry, Mishanda Soon To Be A Momma For the Second Time Franklin, Shane No Show Doomstriker Bower and Kamal "At Least They Love Me On Fakebook" Johnson.

That little sign, well away from the intersection, is the only thing
preventing drivers from turning left.  Do you think yesterday's
wrong way driver on 5th (and so many others) failed to notice it?

So that Archtop Fiber can provide some residents
