Sure, Why The F Not? It's Just A Sidewalk (Or A Residential Street)! It's Just Hudson!

All pictures taken this week.

In my estimation, Hudson is becoming a less livable, less walkable, less interesting, less clean, less attractive, less stable and less friendly place to live.  Much like America in general.  The city has also gotten a lot noisier.  Too much damn traffic, too much of it passing through town on the way to elsewhere (State Street is a major artery for vehicles passing through town).  And the signs on and near the sidewalks... don't get me started.  No one at City Hall or on the Common Council seems to care or be paying attention enough to care about any of it.

Farmers Market sign and PBH sign.  The latter
is made of metal and is quite heavy.  The wind
still knocks it over.  Or people do.  It is a code
violation to have a temporary sign more than 100
feet from the business doing the advertising.

Parked at the PBH!  This is our new sidewalk.
Wasn't it generous of the PBH to give us a
sliver to walk and feel so safe and welcome on?

Thank goodness this business got approval from City Hall!

An inoperable vehicle being DROPPED OFF on Prospect
Street to be worked on in the street or in the driveway of the
longtime illegal and unlicensed car repair business across the
street from the PBH.  This is not an uncommon sight.  Vehicles
that can't arrive while being driven arrive by tow truck.
On a residential street next to a multimillion-dollar development.

Earlier this week, with work done for the day.

While work was taking place.

No one at HPD, CEO or the mayor's office
seems to know what to do about this.

Vehicle being repaired at the end of Prospect
Street yesterday.  It was there for at least
twenty minutes.  HPD ignores.

I think contractors are the biggest of all
the sidewalk parker offenders.  Yesterday.

Next door to mayor Ferris' house.  Literally!

DPW continues to ignore a nasty pothole
waiting to be stepped into near the DMV
parking lot and Saturday Farmers Market.

Last Sunday.  The pile of flyers had been removed
from the windows of the nearby vacant property
shown above (ROTS).
The rear lot of a long vacant building in my
neighborhood, 4 doors from the mayor's house.
The never-locked dumpster is filled to overflowing every
week and it is emptied every week.  Code Enforcement,
also a stone's throw away, ignores the constant mess, all
the other junk and the three abandoned vehicles nearby.
