Time To Take A Break From The Craziness

Unless something truly irresistible to share comes along, HUDseen hopes to be back at it in mid-to-late September.

In the meantime, do not forget:

If you see something that needs DPW Superintendent Rob Perry's attention, do not call the phone number to his DPW office in City Hall.  Not only is he never there (just ask his clerks), but when one of the clerks answers the phone, she will likely tell you to call back and she won't answer the phone so that you can leave a voicemail message for him.  This is how dysfunctional things are there!  (Also, a few years ago, Perry's voicemail box was "full" for months, with no one able to leave him a message.)  Rather, call the number to his personal/work celphone that he doesn't want the public to know about:  518-965-5235.  It will go to his voicemail message immediately (where he does not identify himself as a city employee), then maybe he will call you back.

It's true: our $123,000 DPW Superintendent does not conduct his daily business on a city-issued celphone (at least he wasn't when I spoke to former City Clerk Tracy Delaney last year).  Apparently, Perry prefers to use his own phone for work, because it's fair to assume that the city would have to issue him a celphone if he were to ask for one.

Would it also be acceptable for the chief of police to utilize their personal celphone for work?  How about the mayor?  In Hudson, I'm afraid it would be acceptable (and it probably is).

This is no way to run a city properly and effectively, folks.

Enjoy the last of the warm weather we have!

Shouldn't Kamal Johnson also take a selfie in front of this
sign for his Fakebook page?
